LICENSING ACT 2003 - ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS FOR HIRERS

General objectives:

  • the prevention of crime and disorder

  • public safety

  • the prevention of public nuisance

  • the protection of children from harm

In regard to the above objectives THE HIRER shall be responsible for ensuring that the following terms and conditions are complied with:

 

  1. Alcohol can only be served during restricted hours as notified by the Centre Manager. It must not be served for the last half an hour of the booking to allow for 30 minutes wind down period required by the law.

  3. Alcoholic drinks or drink containers (bottles or glasses) must not be taken from the premises. Drinks can only be consumed in the designated areas of the building

  5. Alcoholic drinks must not be sold or served to under 18s (proof of age card will be required) or to anyone purchasing it on their behalf. It is an offence to allow persons under the age of 18 to consume alcohol on the premises.

  6.  

  7. Alcohol must not be provided to anyone who is or appears to be intoxicated.

  8.  

  9. Children are not allowed in any part of the premises unless supervised by an adult.


  10. Amplified music is only allowed during restricted hours as notified by the Centre Manager at the time of booking. The volume must be kept at reasonable levels at all times and the hirer must ensure that after 22.00 all windows and doors are kept closed (mechanical ventilation will be provided) so as not to cause any disturbance to the occupiers of nearby properties.


  11. The building must be vacated within 15 minutes after the expiry of the time booked for hire. Failure to do so will result in extra charges being made against the deposit.


  12. Please ensure that the guests / participants at your event leave the premises as quietly and promptly as possible at the end of the hiring.
